Nigeria Football Supporters Club (NFSC) has re-assured football fans that their determination to sponsor 20 Nigerians to an all expenses paid trip to Russia for 2018 FIFA World Cup is still on course.
President-General of the club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo who gave the assurance yesterday stated that the raffle ticket for the draws has been reduced from N200 to N100 to enable more Nigerians to have the opportunity of being part of the World Cup.
According to him, the draws which were originally scheduled for April 30 will now hold on June 1 under the supervision of the National Lottery Commission, even as he announced that match tickets have been purchased for the 20 lucky winners.
“We at the supporters club are doing this in conjunction with Telecom Youth Games Limited and Open Star Nigeria limited to give 20 fans the rare opportunity of being part of the fun associated with the world cup.
“You’re all aware that the supporters club is a credible association that will not want to be associated with any fraudulent activity that would tarnish its’ image and that’s why we want to have a credible lottery,” he assured.
Ladipo, while appealing to football fans to avail themselves of this great opportunity, announced that it will cost the club nothing less than N20m to sponsor the 20 lucky winners to Russia for the Mundial, stating that all the sales outlet are still intact for those interested in participating in the raffle draw.
