Strange emission almost mar 11th Nigerian Navy Games in Lagos

The atmospheric conditions at the swimming pavilion of Teslim Balogun stadium, Surulere, Lagos, the venue of the 11th Nigerian Navy Games (Water Sports) became unbearable as the offensive odour emanating from an eclosed tunnel of the complex almost sent the guests and top sports personalities packing.

The odour which is capable of causing epidemic to the guests and  people living around the area made breathing difficult at initial stage with many of the people in attendance trying to cover their nose for health reasons.

Although, people started perceiving the odour during the last day of the competition (9th Feb. 2017) which came as a surprise to many of those who have been attending the championships since inception on (6th Monday Feb. 2017)

Meanwhile, the odour later subdued to a bearest minimum towards the end of the championships as some of the staff of the commission waded in to find a lasting solution to the problem and enable the atmosphere at the venue regain its worthiness.

However, efforts to get the cause of the odour by the officials of the commission after the completion of the championship did not materialize due to the blackout that immediately envelope the venue.
